Group Aftersales Manager (Kilkenny & Carlow)

Responsible to:                          Dealer Principal & Senior Management Team 

Special Working Relationship:      Workshop Managers; Apprentices; Technicians; Warranty Administrator; Parts Team; Sales dept. Quality Controller; Valetors.

Key Duties:

  • To act as a single point of contact between the Distributor and the Michael Lyng Motors Group for all aftersales matters
  • To ensure that our Customers across the Group receive an outstanding service from our After Sales Teams
  • To implement processes to ensure that the Quality and Pricing of Aftersales Service is seamless across our locations 
  • To manage the aftersales teams to maximize revenue and profitability while controlling departmental expenditure.
  • To ensure Aftersales brand standards are always implemented and adhered to.
  • Ensuring proper controls, policy and procedures are in place within the parts & service departments.
  • To review department budgets & objectives regularly to address any shortfall.
  • To ensure high levels of data quality are recorded as per brand standards.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained & regularly monitored.
  • To ensure sufficient forward planning for yearly budgetary requirements are in place.
  • To monitor all departmental KPI’s & take appropriate action to address any weaknesses.
  • To regularly review all service Recalls and Service Actions as per brands standards.
  • To identify and contribute to aftersales marketing strategy.
  • To ensure all warranty policies & procedures are adhered too at all times.
  • To carry out regular debtor review meetings to ensure credit terms are adhered too & controlled.
  • To develop and implement staff retention plan while continuously growing and developing the aftersales team.
  • To review all departmental training requirements to ensure brand standards are achieved.
  • To ensure all aftersales staff have a development plan in place which is regularly reviewed and updated.
  • To report regularly to and work closely with the Senior Management Team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for overall Performance of the Aftersales Departments and ensure synergy between sites.
  • Direct responsibility for ensuring that Distributor monthly KPIs are met and all related Retention and other incentives are secured for the Dealership
  • Direct responsibility for warranty policy and procedures.
  • Direct responsibility for warranty audits and any shortfalls.
  • Responsible for development of processes to measure and Improve Workshop Efficiency
  • To monitor controls and procedures within the aftersales departments.
  • To identify training needs for all aftersales staff.
  • To carry out an annual review of all employees within the aftersales department.
  • To ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in relation to service and warranty procedures.
  • For all service department budgetary requirements.
  • All Aftersales debtors.
  • All aftersales brand standards records are up to date.
  • From time to time, fulfil other reasonable requests in the interests of the efficient running of the department and to promote the good name of the company.
  • In addition to the above to comply with any reasonable request that is made in order to facilitate the smooth running of the dealership.

Authority:

  • To recommend changes and improvements to Company Policy and Procedures.
  • To manage and train all staff to Brand standards.

No Authority:

  • To change Company Policy, to commit the Company to any unauthorised purchases.
  • To make any commitment on behalf of the Company that cannot be fulfilled.

Qualified Technician / Mechanic - MLM Carlow

We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Motor Technician to join our Aftersales team at our state of the art Hyundai dealership on Sleaty Road, Carlow.

This Position is Full-time, Permanent & Pensionable. Excellent Terms & Conditions apply.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest manufacturer's standards. 
  • Complete relevant service documentation in line with warranty and dealer requirements. 
  • Work with other workshop and dealership colleagues to provide excellent customer service.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Motor Vehicle Technician, with experience in vehicle diagnostics. 
  •  Previous Experience with Hyundai vehicles and Electric Vehicles would be a distinct advantage but not essential. 
  • Organised, flexible person prepared to work as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Hold a full clean driver’s licence.
